Gautam Medical College & Hospital Provides New DG Set to Ranchi Pahari Mandir Under CSR

Gautam Medical College & Hospital and Shantidoot Infra Services Limited provide a new DG Set to Ranchi Pahari Mandir under CSR support to strengthen power infrastructure.

““True leadership is not about being ahead of others; it is about creating opportunities for others to move forward.” — Dr. Avijeet Kumar Gautam”

Ranchi, May 18, 2026: In a meaningful step towards community welfare and social responsibility, Shantidoot Infra Services Limited and Gautam Medical College & Hospital provided a new Diesel Generator (DG) Set to Ranchi Pahari Mandir through Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) support.

The initiative was undertaken with the objective of strengthening the temple's electricity infrastructure and ensuring better facilities for devotees visiting the historic temple, particularly during religious ceremonies, festivals and other important occasions.

Strengthening Essential Infrastructure at Ranchi Pahari Mandir

Ranchi Pahari Mandir is an important religious and cultural landmark of the city. The temple had been facing difficulties due to the malfunctioning of its existing DG Set, which had been out of service for a considerable period.

The need for a reliable backup power system was particularly important during पूजा-अर्चना, religious rituals and festivals, when a large number of devotees gather at the temple premises.

Recognising this requirement, the new DG Set was provided through CSR support, helping strengthen the temple's power backup infrastructure and contributing towards a more convenient experience for devotees.

Inauguration of the New DG Set

The inauguration of the newly installed DG Set took place on May 18, 2026, at Ranchi Pahari Mandir.

During his visit to the temple, Shri Manjunath Bhajantari, Deputy Commissioner, Ranchi and Chairman of the Ranchi Pahari Mandir Development Committee, along with Shri Kumar Rajat, Sub-Divisional Officer (Sadar), Ranchi and Secretary of the Committee, participated in the inauguration.

The ceremony was held after the traditional पूजा-अर्चना at the main temple.

Shri Abhijeet Gautam, representing the organisation, extended the request for the inauguration of the newly installed DG Set as part of the CSR initiative.

Members of the Ranchi Pahari Mandir Development Committee, including Shri Sunil Mathur, Shri Saurabh Chaudhary, Shri Rajkumar Sharma and Shri Jitendra Prasad, along with other committee members and representatives of Shantidoot Infra Services Limited, were also present on the occasion.

A Commitment Towards Community Welfare

The initiative reflects the broader commitment of Gautam Group towards contributing to society beyond its core areas of education and healthcare.

Through Gautam Medical College & Hospital, the Group continues to recognise the importance of community-oriented initiatives that can create a meaningful impact at the local level.

Providing essential infrastructure support to a place of public and religious significance is one such effort aimed at contributing to the welfare and convenience of the community.

“Social responsibility is not only about giving back to society; it is about understanding community needs and contributing where support can make a meaningful difference.”

Supporting Better Facilities for Devotees

With the installation of the new DG Set, Ranchi Pahari Mandir will have improved backup power support, particularly during periods of power interruption and during major religious gatherings.

The initiative is expected to help ensure uninterrupted essential electrical services within the temple premises and provide greater convenience to devotees.

The Ranchi Pahari Mandir Development Committee expressed its appreciation to Shantidoot Infra Services Limited and Gautam Medical College & Hospital for their support towards strengthening the temple's infrastructure.

Gautam Group's Vision of Building Institutions and Transforming Lives

The CSR initiative is aligned with the larger vision of Gautam Group — Building Institutions. Transforming Lives.

While the Group continues to focus on developing institutions in education and healthcare, its social initiatives are guided by the belief that meaningful development also includes contributing to the communities in which institutions operate.

The support extended to Ranchi Pahari Mandir is a reflection of this approach — combining institutional growth with social responsibility and community welfare.

Conclusion

The provision of a new DG Set to Ranchi Pahari Mandir marks a meaningful contribution towards strengthening essential infrastructure and improving facilities for devotees.

Through such initiatives, Gautam Medical College & Hospital and Gautam Group continue to demonstrate their commitment to responsible institutional development and community welfare.

Gautam Group remains committed to creating institutions that serve society and contribute to a better tomorrow.
